We all know Georges Brassens, the singer, the man with the pipe and the guitar... but who knows the man? At the very beginning of his career, Georges Brassens bought a 16mm camera. He filmed parents, friends, lovers: a world and people who remained in the shadows of his success but inspired some of his greatest songs. From the Auvergnat to Jeanne, via "Les copains d'abord" and the woman of his life, Püpchen, for whom he composed the famous "Non-demande en mariage" ... so many characters who, until now, have remained unknown and will finally take shape in the images filmed by Brassens himself which highlight, in an extraordinary way, the links between his life and his work. These personal archives, preserved by his family, bear witness to a transitional period in Brassens' life: between the beginnings of recognition and a success that would soon overwhelm him.
