Wealthy businessman Annasaheb, a widower, owns a Papadam factory in the city. Simpleton Bharat works as a manager in his factory. Bharat is in love with a girl called Meeta. Bharat has taken a loan from Sanjubhai a money lender, and is tired of paying the interest. One day Meeta happens to meet Annasaheb, who takes a liking for her.
