In a performance recorded by Tsukuru Mikuriya, Furasu High School's Drama Club presents William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." Houtaro Ichinose takes on the role of Romeo, while Rinne Kudo portrays Juliet. The story closely follows the original, depicting the forbidden love between the two protagonists amidst the feuding Montague and Capulet families. Despite the ongoing hostility between their families, Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight and marry secretly with the help of Friar Laurence. During a scene, Houtaro leans in to kiss Rinne, only to be met with her unexpected retaliation. However, Romeo and Juliet's bliss is short-lived as as a chain of misunderstandings, duels, and tragic events ensue, culminating in the untimely deaths of the couple. Their deaths serve as a catalyst for the reconciliation of the feuding families, but at a devastating cost. As the play concludes, the entire cast receives a resounding applause while taking their final bows onstage.
