In a tight-knit community nestled somewhere in the vast, wind-swept landscapes of rugged Greenland, the news about the unaccountable disappearance of young Ivalu comes as a shock to Pipaluk, her little sister. Unable to understand, and with her indifferent father determined to go about his daily routine as usual, Pipaluk plucks up the courage to embark on a peril-laden mission to find her missing sister. And as the indigenous girl ventures into the barren icy wilderness, driven by pure sisterly love, a series of flashbacks bring to mind fragmented instances of happy times.
