Before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, one of the students of the archaeologist found in the Kozars ancient Scythian burials. During the war, the Kozars were occupied by invaders, and the only pupil who learned the secret of burial was killed at the front. In the post-war years, student Rodik Samarkin (Alexei Mokrousov), the grandson of that very archaeologist, who knows something about the treasures, goes with friends to the Kozars.
