It is the year 1513 of the second age. The peace the kingdom has enjoyed is beginning to crumble. Border attacks are become frequent and savage. A far-flung outpost desperately awaits reinforcements. Amidst the tense setting of defending against sporadic attacks, a group of villagers arrives with much-needed supplies. Niles and Francois, best friends since youth and now serving together as soldiers, eagerly greet the villagers and are both attracted to a girl from the village. In the midst of competing for time with her, the outpost is attacked, setting off a chain of events that leads to a crisis. Lives hang in the balance as the soldiers set an ambush for the invaders and sacrifices must be made.
