An ex-boxer struggles against his demons in effort to regain his place in the world and to forge a relationship with his estranged 10-year old son. Former heavyweight contender Jimmy "Sting" Ray has become a veritable pariah. After nine long years away from the ring, he has struggled with depression and the debilitation of his condition. While seeking a re-connection with his 10-year old son, a confrontation with his ex-wife's new husband leads to a dramatic turn of events that forces Jimmy to stare down his demons and return to his roots, in order to exorcise them. And, through the persistent guidance of an old stablemate, Johnny "Bomb" Hayes (Chance Kelly), Jimmy learns that not only was the game of boxing NOT the problem, but that it actually made him the man he was. And that returning to the game is essential to getting to the core of what really caused his life to spiral downward. The day you stop fighting is the day you start dying.
