In a small mining town in Southern Serbia, everything revolves around the local mine and everybody is in some way connected to it. The film's narrative centers around a traditional miners family, a father and son. Davor, a young miner, refuses to follow the family tradition and tries to find a way to leave his job and home town. This film explores the metaphor of working in the dark, of 'switching off' in order to make it through the day. It provides us with a frame through which to observe life in Serbia today, the disappearance of hope and belief in changes, and the resignation with which people are approaching the new reality.
