Reed Fish runs the Fish show on Mud Meadows' local radio where he reads the local news and commercials and takes listeners' calls. He took over from his dad when his parents were killed in a car accident. He meets his old high school friend/crush, Jill, who's home for the summer after years in college in Austin, Texas. They hang out - not so good, as he's getting married to Kate in 3 weeks (or is he?). Kate sells cars at her dad's dealership. Reed gets Jill on the Fish radio show to talk about herself.
