Out of Life

In the heart of the Lebanese civil war, a French photographer who has come to cover the conflict is suddenly abducted by an armed group. Held prisoner in a cramped room, he endures days that stretch into weeks, then months, marked by anxiety, uncertainty, and the gradual loss of all bearings. Cut off from the world, he observes his captors, discovering their contradictions - at times their humanity, often their violence. As the waiting drags on, the prisoner is forced to confront himself, wavering between hope, rebellion, and resignation. The claustrophobic confinement becomes an extreme experience, where life is reduced to a handful of gestures and fleeting glances.
