At a time when one of America's great problems is the handling of Germany, this highly topical short, narrated by Knox Manning, shouts again and again to be firm with the ex- master race, to watch the seemingly docile burghers and to make sure another Fuehrer does not rise from the dregs of beaten Germany. It goes on to point out that we must sear the war-like attitude from the German mind and stamp out his "super-race" complex before the peace can be assured. Showing scenes of Bismarck, Kaiser Wilhelm and Hitler in their thwarted attempts to conquer the world, the picture asks if there will be another. For, as Manning explains, German history has mapped out a blueprint of world conquest which every German leader believes he must follow. Keynoting the big rehabilitation job ahead in Germany, there is also the danger of our own native-born fascists to disrupt it, as even now they speak of World War III. With the indecision over Germany, critical world political affairs and the growing menace of religious and race prejudices, this is a short which is a 'must' and one that should provoke considerable comment.
