The Hick is a simple country lad who loves the daughter of his farmer employer. She is lured to the Great City by a designing artist who wears one of his paint brushes on his upper lip and who hires her out to a cabaret manager once he spends her money. The true-hearted Larry follows, rescues the girl and proudly takes her home, only to be kicked out by the still irate parent and blown up in the automobile in which he seeks to escape. But the daisy charm tells him that the girl loves him still and we are left to infer that they married and lived happily ever afterward, though we are spared the details.
