In Bahram Tavakoli's loose interpretation of Tennessee Williams's "Glass Menagerie", the ageing single mother, Farideh, struggles to raise her two grown-up kids, the timid crippled daughter, Yalda, and her only son, Eshan, in contemporary Tehran. As the concerned matriarch juggles two jobs to make ends meet, Eshan keeps daydreaming of a better life through cinema, while on the other hand, the fragile Yalda thirsts to be loved. But are dreams alone, enough?
