The kids help out at Granny Mack's grocery store. When kindly Mrs. Mack steps out and puts the kids in charge, chain store reps arrive to discuss buying her out at a good price. The kids, thinking they're helping, send them away with an earful of disparaging stories about the store and the area. Seeing through the ruse, the men leave but will return. A conniving man catches on and aims to buy Mack's store cheaply and resell it at a handsome personal profit. Fortunately, the older kids put the younger kids in charge, whose limited understanding of things help drive up the store's price.
