Astro-Kommando AK1--a six-member special police unit consisting of commander Hagen Dahlberg, attractive woman inspector Jenny Harland, daredevil pilot Charly Schumann, navigator Stephan Rubelli, mechanic Thorwald, and Dr. Jokostra, a sort of female "Q"--not only fights organised crime in Berlin but is also called in regularly to troublespots where ordinary units can no longer cope. The AK1 team's most important weapons are a bulletproof high-tech helicopter, plenty of courage, and a great sense of humor--making them more than a match for crazed serial killers, evil arms dealers, crafty art thieves, and foreign agents.
