Mark is an alcoholic and deeply dissatisfied with his marriage to Eva. When he realizes that he no longer loves her, he practically drives her into the arms of his best friend Angel. In a nearby forest, Maria Flynn shoots her unfaithful husband and his lover. The police is after her, and she hides in the woods close to the border. Coincidentally, Mark meets the beautiful murderess and decides to help her, hoping to find solace and a new impulse to revive his dead relationship. But when Maria kills herself, the love triangle between Mark, Eva and Angel is about to implode.
