A group of five kindergartners slips out of the kindergarten without getting caught in order to visit a friend and class-mate who is absent and hospitalized owing to a terminal disease. The children encounter situations fun, happy or sad as they make their way to a hospital in town and need wisdom and know-how beyond their age to make it to their destination.
