Goodbye, Norma Jean Reviews

Rancid movie bio of Marilyn Monroe's early years, when she was just a movie fan by the name of Norma Jean Baker, played by Rowe. The film opens in 1941, with young Rowe being raped by a highway patrolman who has stopped her for speeding. This incident, presumably, is meant to explain Rowe's dissatisfaction with sex that is ironically to plague the sex goddess for the rest of her life. What follows her winning of a beauty contest is a series of sleazy sexual encounters until she reaches Hollywood and fame. Sensationalistic and slimy with no real insight into Monroe's character.
