A moving historical drama that tells the story of three martyr priests-Mariano Gomes (Dante Rivero), Jose Burgos (Edrick Juan), and Jacinto Zamora (Enchong Dee), collectively known as Gomburza-who were falsely accused of sedition and treason and executed by Spain in 1872. The film chronicles the struggle of the three priests that began with the secularization movement in the Philippines lead by Fr. Pedro Pelaez (Piolo Pascual) and the rise of the advocacy for Filipinization of the Church. The martyrdom of Gomburza never silenced the enlightened, influencing others like Jose Rizal to continue the fight for Philippine independence.
