A village that is facing severe drought is reeling under unemployment, migration, crop failure and drinking-water crises. Troubleshooter Gadappa (played by Chennagowda) writes to the government, requesting compensation for farmers, but when a government official visits the village for inspection, he is misled by the village head, who is more interesting in lending money to villagers for interest. Unable to clear his debt, Giri commits suicide, which sends shockwaves across the village. Gadappa takes up the initiative to fill a lake, but fails to convince villagers to raise money for the same. He even pledges his land to raise money. Will Gadappa succeed in his mission?
