Garth Radford is a successful medical researcher from Boston, working together with his wife Joanna. But although their cooperation is seamless, their marriage is cracking. One day, Radford catches Joanna cheating, gets furious and pushes her over the balcony railing. Believing Radford's lies, the police conclude it was an accident and he can walk a free man.
