A young woman tells of a long distance relationship she has through hand drawn postcards. While such postcards are their primary means of remaining in connection, the cards drawn here are purely to advance the story. Beyond the distance, the relationship is a clash of two worlds in many respects, she a Toronto artist, he a plastic surgeon in Halifax. Her feelings for him become self reflective when he tells of performing a purely cosmetic procedure on a child at the request of his mother. It not only brings back memories of body issues when she was a child, but her perception of herself based on what she did about the issue as a child, who she is now, and her relationship with someone who could do something about it.
