A woman's brother comes to visit her in her home, but when the woman's husband sees the brother and sister embracing, he jumps to the wrong conclusion. He angrily expels them from the house, refusing to listen to explanations. One evening three years later, as the husband sits by the fireplace after dinner, his young daughter sparks a chain of reminiscences that cause him to reconsider.
