The film follows three loosely connected characters in Switzerland. Paul Godard, a disillusioned television producer, abandons his job and drifts through a stalled relationship with Denise, his former partner. Denise leaves Paul to work on a farm while attempting to write, struggling against both economic pressure and expectations placed on her as a woman. Meanwhile, Isabelle, a young woman, enters prostitution-not as a melodramatic fall, but as a calculated form of labor governed by contracts, schedules, and power dynamics.
