'Evelyn' follows Robert Walker, a WW2 veteran with a chip on his shoulder. He is a mysterious figure, with an air of mystery surrounding him and his past. Having returned home from war severely disfigured from his actions in the line of duty, Robert finds himself in a very dark place. Suffering from bouts of post traumatic stress he returns home to find his wife has moved away. Robert takes refuge in a veteran's bar, enjoying solitude initially. That is until a brush with a fellow veteran pushes Robert to confide in the bar's wise landlord. This is the catalyst for Robert to start his search for his estranged wife, Evelyn. Throughout his search Robert makes several revelations that slowly allow him to unravel the true reason for Evelyn's absence. It is these same revelations though that push him to the brink of sanity.
