Ektu Antorikatar Jonno explores the quest for true friendship and affection of a mentally challenged boy Archi. Archi lives in his ancestral house with his mother Esha while his father, Palash, posted away from home, visits them every week-end. Ahana, a single pregnant woman, moves in as their tenant and befriends Archi. Archi, on the other hand, has developed a fictitious friendship with a Radio Jockey of a popular radio programme. Distressed by the increasing tension between his parents Archi leaves home to find his radio jockey friend but meets with disillusionment. Ahana too plans to shift to a friend's house. Archi finds his mother Esha standing by him while all have deserted. Ektu Antorikatar Jonno portrays a poignant picture of decaying inter-personal relationships in an increasingly complex and complicated world.
