Charly and Sonny are little fish, "egg thieves". They hang around in Frankfurt bars and try their hand at things that are several sizes too big for them. First they are recruited as heroin couriers and take on a professional drug organization, then they fail miserably as art thieves. What remains is the realization that they are losers.
