The family of a policeman who moved from Los Angeles to New York after an earthquake killed their youngest son is caught up in the past when earth tremors hit the East Coast metropolis. While the policeman is on the hunt for a psychopathic killer, he must fear for the lives of his wife and daughter, who are trapped in a buried underground shaft.
