The negative effects of illicit drug use on society are shown, especially the increasing problem of drug addiction among teens. The sources of heroin, cocaine and marijuana are shown and the effects of each on the body are discussed, with heroin being the most insidious in its addictive qualities, an addict who requires more and more to satisfy his urges in his body getting used to the drug within his system. The effects of drug use on an Everyman teen is dramatized, Marty Demalov who started smoking marijuana with friends before his dealer "friend" introduced him to heroin, giving it away at first until Marty got hooked and thus would do anything, including turning to petty crime, to afford to support his habit.
