Doxobus

The film tells a story that unfolds in medieval Macedonia in the 14th century, when the first civil war breaks out in Byzantium. A young man from Doxombus, Xenos, will live through the whirlwind of the war, first growing up in a monastery and then participating in the civil war. The defeat of the emperor and the triumph of the rebels, in whose ranks Xenos distinguished himself for his heroic deeds, will bring him his own village as a prize and reward for his bravery. The Stranger, a new kind of leader, will establish his power, completely changing the lives of the poor villagers and subjects.
