Sam is a twenty something gay guy living in New York who's just trying to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte on his way to work. When his grandmother becomes gravely ill, everything changes for Sam. He becomes sick with a heavy sadness that he cannot overcome. He has panic attacks, sleepless nights, racing thoughts, and severe lack of interest in P.S.L.s or anything else in his life. Seeking help, Sam starts to see a therapist, Lenora. DIAGNOSIS chronicles the sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes hilarious sessions between Sam and Lenora as they navigate his manifesting manic depression and grapple with the decision to go on medication despite his own stigmas against it.
