Maya has been dreaming of spending her summer vacation life-guarding at the beach with her boyfriend Zig, but her hopes are destroyed when she fails her CPR class . Determined not to let her summer be a total fail, she sets her sights on a baby sitting job for a big time music producer, but is tricked by Gloria, who swoops in and gets the job. After Gloria soon goes missing, Maya lands the job. Meanwhile, Frankie is excited for her summer internship at the city hall, as she try's to prove her independence. She soon finds it hard to compete with the older interns who clearly don't like her, until she meets Logan. But is he who he says he is? And Zoe plans on coasting through summer school with her best friend Tristan by her side. But as her friendship with Grace grows stronger, the disappearance of Gloria hovers over everyone's summer as they are all, in one way or another, involved with her disappearance.
