After being gone for 4 years, the reclusive runaway, Kate Coleman, returns home after her affluent father's death. Kate reunites with her cousin and childhood best friend, Jane, and her long-time family friend, Auntie May but is still uneasy about returning to the place she left years ago. Kate dreads the upcoming reunion with the person that was the catalyst for the broken relationship with her father and the reason she left, her stepmother Darla.
