Patricia is the newest, hottest escort girl in a seedy club called "The Golden Mouse Trap" in Franco-era Madrid. On her first night she ends up stabbed in the face and the main suspect is an older, instantly-jealous co-worker named Lola. While she clings to life on an improvised operating room in the basement, a no-nonsense police inspector seals the club forbidding any of the patrons to leave and conducts an urgent investigation on the premises and into the wee hours of the morning.
