Come Through

Velma Gay loves Archie Craig, her aunt, Mrs. Sylvester Van Deek, makes her accept the proposal of wealthy Montana mine owner Buck Lindsay, while Craig plans to marry a wealthy widow. When Lindsay reads a note Velma leaves for Craig to meet her at ten that evening, Lindsay realizes that she is marrying for money, and plans to force Craig to marry her. At ten, burglar James Harrington Court, known as "The Possum," enters the house to steal a pearl necklace given Velma by Lindsay's friends. At gunpoint, Lindsay forces Court to marry Velma, who goes along to save Court's life. After Craig refuses to help Velma, Court promises to go straight, and with the help of Alderman John Lysaght, the Courts become dancers at a classy cabaret. Meanwhile, Lindsay discovers his mistake and, desiring to marry Velma, attempts to bribe and then frame Court into divorcing her. When Boss McGinnis offers to help Court if he secures incriminating papers from Lysaght, Court refuses, and a free-for-all fight begins. Lindsay, now admiring Court, helps him; and Velma, who realizes that she loves Court, rescues him with Lysaght.
