Tommy is a teenager, excited about buying his first car. The car looks terrific, but the owner of the used-car lot, Nick, is actually a racketeer who sells dangerously unfit cars to unsuspecting buyers. When the brakes fail on one of the cars Nick sold, tragedy ensues and the police are called in to prove that Crime Does Not Pay.
