Chuzpe - Klops braucht der Mensch!

Edek Rotwachs is daring to start a new life. After more than six decades in Australia, he is moving to Berlin. As a Holocaust survivor, he and his wife had found a home in Melbourne. His daughter Ruth, however, wants her father to be close to her. But the modern metropolis is initially alien to Edek. And Ruth also constrains the 80-year-old with excessive care. Although his son-in-law Georg and grandson Zachy are also trying to help him, the sprightly widower feels alone and superfluous. When Edek's attempts to get involved in Ruth's communications agency culminate in chaos, he remembers a travel acquaintance. A year earlier, he had met the fun-loving Zofia and her friend Valentina in Marseille. Now Edek is hoping to see them again. With the help of his grandson and the Internet, he sets out to find the likeable Polish women. Having found them, he lets Zofia and Valentina live with him in his apartment, which Ruth has designed, and with it, he brings a lot of fun and zest for life into his life. In addition to Zofia's plump physical assets, Edek is particularly enamored with her Polish meatballs. Much to the horror of Ruth, who had imagined a quiet retirement for her father. When the trio flirts with the idea of a meatball restaurant, Ruth is completely stunned. But the three pursue their business idea with great enthusiasm and rent an empty shop - in a bad area, away from any public traffic. How is that supposed to work? While Ruth is still struggling, the busy senior trio has long since won everyone's hearts. Even her husband Georg and her best friend Sonia are increasingly unsympathetic to Ruth. And the opening is actually a huge success. The meatball restaurant becomes a hit overnight and even Hollywood comes to film there. Just as Ruth has come to terms with this, the next big surprise is already waiting for her.

At the prestigious Mayflower Dog Show, a "documentary film crew" captures the excitement and tension displayed by the eccentric participants in the outrageously hilarious satire Best In Show. As two upwardly mobile attorneys (Parker Posey and Michael Hitchcock) anxiously ready their neurotic Weimaraner and an ecstatically happy gay couple (Michael McKean and John Michael Higgins) dote on their tiny Shih Tzu, inept commentator Buck Laughlin (Fred Willard) vainly attempts to provide colorful tidbits about each breed.
