Christmas in Rockwell

Hollywood star Alyssa Strader longs for some normalcy in life, especially in this Christmas season. As such, she decides to return to her small hometown of Rockwell incognito to embark on a long list of winter/Christmas activities she remembers from her childhood that she could never do in public in Los Angeles, this move against the wishes of her mother, Jenny Strader, who has managed her career from the start with her first movie, Holly's Puppy Christmas, filmed in Rockwell when Alyssa, starring as Holly, was twelve. While Alyssa has not stayed in contact with anyone in Rockwell, and only vaguely remembers anyone, perhaps with the exception of same aged Natalie Richmond with who she would have wanted to stay friends, she reconnects with Jake Wells, who had a bit part as Elf #7 in Holly's Puppy Christmas and who manages the local art house cinema owned by his mother, Juniper Wells. Jake wants to continue Juniper's legacy with the cinema, which they both know is struggling. As such, the five day Christmas movie festival they are hosting, it culminating with a twenty-fifth anniversary gala screening of Holly's Puppy Christmas on Christmas Eve, has to do well if Jake has any hope of continuing that legacy. As Alyssa and Jake make that human connection blossoming into a potential romance, that burgeoning relationship may be threatened as Jake contemplates using Alyssa to bolster the cinema's fortunes by asking or forcing her to come out from incognito.
