When a worker in Mexico's National Archive turns up murdered, a journalist and others use the crime investigation to dig deeper into government files kept at the scene of the crime -- a notorious former prison called the Palacio de Lecumberri. But the sleuths soon face a dangerous foe who will do anything to keep his political party's dirty secrets under wraps.
