Dirk Bogarde stars as Bruce Campbell, a young Englishman given only six months to live. He travels to Canada to take over the land he has inherited from his grandfather. He had always maintained that the land contained oil, so, against much opposition, Bruce decides that this shall be his final challenge. Many do not want him to succeed; some are so determined that they will resort to murder.
