This is going be short, because this film has no plot other than two men follow two women on their car trip to the continent in the hope of getting to know them. That is it, there is no suspense, no intrigue, no danger and no excitement, but don't let that put you off because their is fun and education. It is what it was meant to be, a light, jolly series of events along the way with humour provided by Cardew Robinson and Spike Milligan, two popular comedians of the day with the cars being as much stars as the actors. Interspersed among the clowning around, there are a few short documentary sections that show the, then-new, roll-on, roll-off ferry terminal at Dover and the old method of lifting cars onto ferries by means of cranes lifting them using slings (the film was commissioned by the Dover Harbour Board to publicise the new roll-on, roll-off terminal).
