Dan and Barbra Williams (Jim Burns and Perry Smith), a middle-aged couple are sent by their daughter off to a remote cabin for their anniversary. Unbeknownst to their daughter, Dan and Barbra are on the verge of divorce. Stuck in the cabin by the weather for three days, they are left with only bitterness and sarcasm. Barbra discovers a journal left in the cabin with various entries from previous visitors. Flashbacks take us through the journal entries from the passionate love of a newlywed couple to the undying love of an old man left with only his memories. As Dan and Barbra read through the journal, they relive their own great memories and learn that the love they lost may only need to be rekindled.
