SERENA, (Cassidy Freeman) the brilliant young editor of BUZZ, has her world turned upside down when her father, the school's head of journalism, hires Serena's estranged mother, ALEXIS (Sharon Lawrence), to become the managing editor of Buzz. Alexis is a star TV journalist, who ten years ago chose career over family. Serena and Alexis butt heads as they struggle for control of Buzz and redefine a relationship.
