Can a single person truly make a difference? In December 1997, Julia Hill climbed a thousand-year-old sequoia, vowing not to come down until the tree was saved from logging. She lived 55 meters above the ground for over two years, fueling an already intense debate over the fate of Northern California's ancient forests. Directed by Wolens, the film serves as a primer on forest issues and environmental direct action, but above all, it tells the spiritual journey of a determined and articulate woman, nicknamed Butterfly, who saved the ancient tree named Luna.
