Greta is a redheaded Dutch prostitute with a heart of gold who knows how to cater to high-toned klant (clients). Along with her partner in prostitution, neighbor Nel, a plump blonde with an addiction to sweets, they cruise the Amsterdam pubs for clients, then stage elaborate fantasies for their fetishistic johns. As two headmistresses disciplining a naughty student, as two surgeons cutting open a willing patient, and as two chickens (covered in feathers and cock-a-doodle-dooing atop a table!), Greta and Nel show their expertise in role-playing again and again and again. Meanwhile, Nell is married to Jack, a wife-beating fisherman, and Greta is forever in the middle of their knock-down, drag-out battles. Then Greta falls for one of her tricks, a nice guy named Pete who brings her flowers and buys her gifts and takes her out on the town after she give him a freebie. Eventually, Nel gets smacked around one too many times and, at Greta's urging, leaves Jack and finds happiness in the suburbs with a middle-aged square named Bob. And Pete drops out of Greta's life after his wife gets pregnant.
