After experiencing the loss of her mother in a tragic childhood house fire, pyrophobic teenager Destiny Jones shuts herself in her house for eight years, only wanting to stay in her room and paint. When her dad, Davis, finds out they have to move, and she would have to go outside, he tries desperately to find a counselor that might be able to get to the bottom of her PTSD. When they find one fresh out of school, who has unorthodox methods of counseling, an unwilling Destiny must work with her to get to the bottom of her fears before they have to move, and before her friends give up on her.
