Fate doesn't seem to be too kind to the likeable Rosa Echte at the moment: her ex-boyfriend not only robbed the top chef from Cologne of her restaurant, but also of all her money; her unconventional daughter Tanja is pregnant as a teenager and is determined to pursue a career as a poet; and Rosa got rid of her new job as a department store clerk before she even started it properly. In short, chaos everywhere. In this situation, it seems like a happy coincidence when Rosa accidentally meets the eccentric pop star Harry Hansen from the famous "Hansen-Duo". After the unexpected death of his singing and life partner Charles, the celebrated musician lost all motivation: he no longer wants to compose, get up or eat. Only his neighbor takes care of him, the widowed surgeon Nicolaus Roeder. To finally snap Harry out of his depression, he urges him to hire Rosa as a housekeeper. It is true that there is some friction between the capricious artist and the carefree cook. However, with her warm personality, Rosa manages to breathe new life into Harry's villa and activate his spirits. Her best friend Anastasia is also enthusiastic about Rosa's new job, as she is one of the biggest fans of the "Hansen duo". And Rosa herself seems to have found a charming admirer in Nicolaus. But then Vivien appears, the twin sister of the late Charles who lives in New Zealand. Once she had fallen out with her brother; now she pretends to make her peace with him at his grave and finally wants to get to know his life partner. While Harry gets his head turned by Vivien's nostalgic stories about Charles, Rosa suspects that Vivien is not playing with open cards. Something doesn't seem right about the story of her ailing daughter who urgently needs an expensive surgery. Together with Nicolaus, Rosa sets out to shed light on the matter.
