Black Shampoo Reviews

BLACK SHAMPOO is an obvious rip-off of the original SHAMPOO except that this one is set in a black-owned beauty salon. The similarity ends there because this film is one of the sleaziest films made in 1976 or any other year. Daniels as "Mr. Jonathan" is supposed to be a black super-sexpot who woos and beds his wealthy white customers (and their offspring). His girlfriend's ex-boyfriend wants the babe back, so he arranges to have Daniels' two gay assistants beaten up. Now if that makes any sense to you, you may be ready for more of what this movie offers--sex, violence, chain saws, pool cues, gay abuse, and just about anything else a red-blooded bigot (or the producers of this movie) might like to see. Lots of action but absolutely no content.
