Wolf Hauser is a German exchange student in his first term at Cambridge University. Unwittingly he becomes the victim of a practical joke performed by the Dodo circle – a group of students that must undertake one impossible feat a term. Through this he becomes friends with them, and as the stakes of the jokes heighten, so do the number of complications in both the feats and his love life!
