Two young sisters live poverty-stricken and alone in an ancient woodland. The younger of the two idolizes her older sibling, who fends for the both of them with her bow and arrow. When her dependence upon her sister is suddenly and unexpectedly threatened, the little girl is forced to confront the realities of their unforgiving world.
